Dear Venables Friends,
We must go back to the XI century. A young lord Gilbert de Venables will strain on public land near Middlewich Cheshire after the Norman Conquest in 1066 led by William the Conqueror. The story could have stopped there nine centuries later when Bernard Oger passionate about the history of his village as and discovers his research there in England and the United States, families who bear the name of the village. In 1986 Bernard Oger ten families met at the first convention of Families Venables. Since every five years is an event that gathers more and more families are identified, this time on the five continents of the planet.
Conventions are very intense moments experienced by Venables and Families Venablois. The opening of the site of the Cultural Center is a desire expressed by the Fourth Convention in 2001: "Putting in place a structure to enhance the name of Venables to preserve and transmit the historical legacy that is ours."
A team of Venablois and Friends are working to structure the activities of the Cultural Center. It is in this space that I invite you to go and the goals we want to develop.
A project like this can only succeed with the participation of all. I hope that this site is a bond of friendship and reconciliation and is a dynamic relationship.
